Job Summary/Company:

Sparks Group, partnered with a national lifestyle activewear brand, is searching for a highly skilled, experienced Controller to join their leadership team. The Controller will oversee the financial reporting process, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of company data. Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of accounting (bookkeeping, record keeping, financial reporting).
• Lead company-wide transition to GAAP-based accrual accounting (revenue, cost of goods sold, accounts payable).
• Develop and implement robust internal controls (inventory, fixed assets, reconciliations).
• Oversee monthly closing process, partner with finance for insightful financial analysis.
• Supervise a Senior Staff Accountant and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications/Background Profile:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
• Minimum 10 years of accounting experience with at least 2 years in a controllership role.
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills with excellent written and oral communication.
• Proficiency in GAAP, financial modeling, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint).
